I’d like to take a second and share what I have been up to with you all.
I have moved to Irvine, Calif. to train with Rafael (Arutunian) and his team. I am very happy training here; I am training hard in this new environment and have found a new love for skating.
Unfortunately, after prolonged recovery from an injury sustained in late July and a major change in my training, I have not had enough time to confidently and safely prepare for the 2021 U.S. National Championships.
I am upset to not have had the opportunity to compete this season. I look forward to showing you all what I have been working on next season.
Stay safe and see you soon
-Andrew
You will be missed greatly at Nationals. I look forward to seeing you skate live at some point in 2021. I admire your artistry and common sense which allows you the patience and long term vision to heal and train. I have been a fan of yours for most of your career. Good luck and good health ?
Thanks for sharing, Andrew. I look forward to your new programs! Good luck! Take care.
The whole weekend I was like, what’s missing? Why doesn’t this field seem complete? Was it Tomoki’s absence? Nope. Was it Alexei’s retirement? Nope. Then I realized it was that there was no Torgashev! Honestly, the men’s field didn’t feel complete without you man. Needed all that fire! Cya next year. With possibly 3 top retirements, the podium is well in sight!
